Terms and Conditions

Payment Schedule 

To confirm your reservation, a deposit of $500 per person, per trip is required along with a filled-out Trip Registration Form. From time to time, you are welcome to make additional payments toward the balance amount due.  Full payment of the balance is due 90 days before the first day of the trip.  All payments can be paid by direct deposit, check or credit card.  Payments by credit card will carry a surcharge of 3%-5%.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, you may transfer your reservation to another suitable person, or apply the costs towards a future Dive Army trip.  If this is not possible, then the cancellation of your reservation will become effective upon receipt by Dive Army of your written notification.  The following charges will apply: (a) all costs will be refunded minus a $500 per person cancellation fee for the notice of cancellation received 45 days or more before the first day of the trip or (b) no refund will be given for the notice of cancellation received less than 45 days prior to the first day of the trip.  We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself against unexpected cancellations.  Insurance can be purchased at this link: DAN Trip Insurance.

If You Alter Your Reservation

If you find it necessary to switch from one trip to another, we will do our best to accommodate your changes.  This becomes more difficult, though, the closer we are to the trip date, so we reserve the right to apply a maximum surcharge of 20% of the trip price to accommodate this switch.

If We Change An Itinerary

Running a trip is a complex process, with many decisions made "behind the scenes" in order to maintain a high quality of service.  In light of this, we reserve the right to alter our suggested itineraries when required by circumstances such as, but not confined to, closing days of dive charter and restaurants, high/rough tide, strikes, disruptions of service by one of our service providers, client nap schedules, sick monks, etc.  If such a change becomes necessary, we will make every effort to provide substitutions in kind to thereby maintain the same quality of itinerary originally stipulated in our materials.  If we find it necessary for any reason to cancel a trip prior to departure, then the refund of all costs received will constitute a full settlement.  If a client fails to make payment, then we reserve the right to cancel that reservation without any obligation to refund or make alternative arrangements.  We also reserve the right to decline to retain any client on a trip whose conduct or state of health is detrimental to the enjoyment of the other clients or disruptive of the guides' ability to provide service, and we shall be under no liability to reimburse the disruptive client for any costs incurred by such a client or other clients as a result of our action.

Payment Methods
  • Pay a fixed amount with a credit card: You will be able to make a PayPal payment by selecting a fixed amount online. Each PayPal amount includes a 3% handling fee.

  • Pay any amount with a credit card: If you wish to pay any amount other than the fixed amounts listed online, let us know via email. We will send you a PayPal invoice for a specific amount you wish to pay with your credit card. This invoice amount will include a 3% handling fee. 

  • Pay a full or monthly direct to the bank account.

Canceling Your Booking

If you decide to cancel your reservation 45 days or more before your package commencement date then we will return your payment less the deposit and any bank charges incurred by us. If you cancel your reservation any less than 45 days before your package commencement date then we retain the right to keep any payments in compensation for potentially lost bookings. Please inform us, DIVE ARMY, of any changes to your booking at the soonest opportunity.

Transportation

When applicable, we will provide a vehicle for initial pick up and final drop off of clients and luggage, as well as transportation of clients and luggage during the trip.  Usually, pick up and drop off will be in a major city near the trip area, though we are glad to consider requests to pick up/drop off your party at points more convenient to you.  The vehicle will be driven only by our authorized guides.

Liability

Dive Army cannot be held responsible, or in any way liable, for property losses, personal losses, accidents, injury, or death for any reason whatsoever, whether through any activities booked through us, or caused to you buy third parties connected, or not connected to us.  We will not be liable, for any additional expenses incurred by customers, for any reasons whatsoever.  If a complaint is received about a trip, for any reason, Dive Army will agree to investigate and may act upon the complaint dependent upon our findings.

Dive trip customers who is going be certified on the trip will be required to read and sign the Standard Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement, before they start their dive trip.

Dive trip customers will be required to read and sign the Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement For Certified Divers, before they start their dive trip. 

Dive trip customers will be required to read and sign the Standard Safe Diving Practices Statement of Understanding, before they start their dive trip. 

 

Dive trip customers will be required to read and sign the Travel and Excursions Liability Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement, before they start their dive trip.

Medical Conditions

Please see your Doctor if you are concerned about any medical conditions, or need information regarding vaccinations before coming to Dive Army Trip.  You will be required to sign a Medical Liability Release Form by your instructor before your PADI course commences.  

 

Please note that persons with medical or physical problems (bad knees, etc.) that could in any way impact upon their participation in the trip or impact upon others' participation must make them known to us before departure.  In addition to emergency evacuation and diving accident insurance, the USA DAN (Divers Alert Network) Preferred Membership includes coverage (lifetime maximum $10,000) for insured diver's losses incurred for trip cancellation before departure due to a sickness or injury that would impair the ability to dive.  In the event a diver is sick or injured before his/her trip, this coverage would reimburse nearly all pre-paid trip expenses.

Miscellaneous Information We Need

When you confirm your reservation, please be prepared to provide us with the following details (we'll remind you again at the time):

 

  • Full names of all passengers

  • Indicate Mr/Mrs/Ms, and if you are a couple

  • Email addresses 

  • Flight arrival and departure details

  • Arrival date and telephone number

  • Scuba certification level

  • Number of dives

  • Date of last dive

  • Any special dietary requirements

  • Rental scuba equipment sizes. Please note you are responsible for any damage caused to your rental equipment during your vacation package and in the event of damage you will be charged accordingly.

Partial Refunds

Dive Army cannot give partial refunds for unused hotel rooms, meals, or any other goods included in the price of the trip.  Trip prices are quoted as a package; credits are not given for services not used during a trip.  This does not apply to those who wish to participate in only a portion of a trip.  In this case, we can pro-rate hotel and meal costs for the unused days.

Trip Prices

Trip prices are per person, based on two persons sharing a room.  If you request a single room, a single supplement is added to the regular trip prices.  In regards to included meals, it should be understood that breakfasts in Gulf of Mexico or Caribbean Sea are often not "American style".  However, wherever possible we use accommodations that offer no meal plan, buffet-style breakfasts or all inclusive.

Photographs

Dive Army reserves the right to take photographs during trips and of clients and to use those photographs in our promotional materials without compensation.  We will ask for your permission before using a recognizable photo of you.  If later you find that you don't like a particular use of a photograph of you in our materials, please notify us. In the case of electronic media (our website), we will remove it immediately. In the case of printed material, we will not include it in future printings.
