August 28- 29 we have an overnight flight (not included) from Manaus to Cuiaba to continue our expedition into the Pantanal from August 29- September 8.

This Tour takes you to the Meeting of the Waters State Park (Porto Jofre area, Cuiabá river) in search of the elusive jaguar. This is the centre of the Jaguar action, also known as  Jaguar zone. Since 2012 all our guests have seen and photographed Jaguars at close range for extended periods. The best period for jaguar observation and wildlife in general is during the dry season, from June to November.

Of course the other Pantanal highlights will not be ignored , we will spend quality time watching and photographing Giant Otters , these Otters are habituated to the boats and can be photographed at close range. Other Pantanal highlights including Tapir, Puma, Giant Anteater, Ocelot, Anaconda and hundreds of bird species are often photographed during the boat safaris or overland safaris during our stay in the Traditional Pantanal ranches. We will also have good opportunities to photograph Hyacinth Macaws, Toucans and an array of parrots and other tropical birds.

Chapada dos Guimarães National Park protects a vast area of Cerrado, home to endemic and range restricted birds and the habitat of  Red-and-Green Macaws, Blue and Yellow Macaws, and the endangered Maned Wolf.   This National Park is located on the Central Plateau, about 60km North from Cuiabá. Here we find the water springs of Pantanal ́s rivers. This National Park highlights also include 4 species of Toucans, Red-and-Green Macaws, Blue-headed Parrots, King Vultures, Blue-Crowned Motmots, Manakins, Capuccin Monkeys, Southern Tamandua, to mention but a few.

On this Tour we cover a wide range of habitats, taking the most of the photographic potential of each place, we will also spend quality time  birdwatching and photographing the scenery including canions, rock formations, caves and waterfalls. Combining Pantanal with Chapada National Park will provide you with a massive list and photographic portfolio of the birds and wildlife of Central Brazil.
