Ron began his diving career in 1972 while on temporary duty in Guantanamo Bay Cuba.  His diving was sparse over the next eight years but began in earnest when he was stationed on Guam in 1980.  Initially certified as an SSI diver in 1972 he started over and completed the PADI Open Water Certification and began diving in earnest.  During his three year tour he completed all training and was certified as an Assistant Instructor. Neil Tapp of Agat Dive shop was his Instructor and mentor.

 

Since that time he has completed over 20 specialty courses and has completed over 6,000 dives.  Diving locations have included Puerto Princess in Palawan, Zamboanga, Cebu, Davao, Mindanao, and Luzon Island Philippines as well as Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Solomon Islands,  Arabic Sea, Red Sea, Caribbean, CA and FL.

 

Ron also co-owns Affordable Memories Travel and plans dive trips that have included Grand Bahamas; Cancun/Playa del Carmen/Cozumel; Mahahual, MX; the Florida Keys and many more exotic locations.
